Zero-Server Data Transmission
When you paste transcripts, documents, or logs into ClipNText, your text NEVER leaves your computer. All transformations execute strictly inside your local browser tab's JavaScript runtime via isolated Web Workers.
1. Information We Do Not Collect
ClipNText does NOT collect, inspect, transmit, store, or sell:
- Any text, files, transcripts, or code entered into any editor or tool workbench.
- User identities, email addresses, or names.
- Personal clipboard contents.
2. Local In-Memory Processing
All sanitization algorithms (timestamp removal, line unwrapping, OCR cleaning, markdown stripping) execute in-memory. Once you refresh or close your browser tab, all transient in-memory buffers are immediately reclaimed by your operating system's garbage collector.
3. Local Storage Preferences
ClipNText stores only minimal UI preferences directly on your device (e.g., your selected dark or light theme preference and toggles state) using standard HTML5 localStorage. These preferences are never synchronized with remote servers.
4. Public Transcript Retrieval (YouTube Extractor)
When using the YouTube Transcript Extractor, your browser requests public caption streams directly or proxies the request through our edge gateway solely to retrieve publicly available subtitle tracks. No personal identifiers or transcript contents are persisted on our servers.
5. Compliance with Global Privacy Standards (GDPR & CCPA)
Because ClipNText does not collect or process personal data on remote servers, it is private by design and adheres to the most stringent international data protection frameworks, including the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).
